Jak Ka Pat Coffee and Homestay is owned & managed by Jak and Pat, a twin who were born & raised in the small village of Ban Sakad high in the mountains of Doi Phu Kha in Nan province. This small village at a hight of 950m above sea-level is located about 20 km from Pua town and is becoming a famous travel destination for Thai tourists. Just 3 years ago there were no coffee shops or homestay in Ban Sakad, but due it stunning location business is thriving. And although there are now at least 4 or more coffee shops in Ban Sakad, Jak Ka Pat Coffee is serving the best coffee, choco and cakes. For more information about Nan province see
Destination Travel Guide Nan.
Actually we did visit this place last year also but since then they have improved the place and did also make some basic rooms as homestay. We love the friendly staff and it is a great place to sit & relax while enjoying the view. It has become our favourite place in Ban Sakad. Highly recommended!
Jak Ka Pat Coffee is at a small dead-end soi of the main road, just 100m before the y-intersection at the beginning of Ban Sakad. Jak Ka Pat Coffee is about 100m in the soi, but be aware that this small soi is steep and not good road surface (actually it is a dirt track). And be aware that the parking space for cars is very limited.
For people that are considering staying at Jak Ka Pat Homestay they serve breakfast, lunch or dinner. But be aware that the rooms are very basic, but the location & experience compensates for that.
