This temple is located in what was originally the outskirts of Pua (Ban Prang) but now it is located behind the Pua Farmers Market. The temple on a hill overlooking the valley of Pua with the Doi Phu Kha mountains in the background. Pua was the area where is said to be the first settlement in Nan province, and the place of this temple is said to be a part of it. The temple itself is not old. The most extravagant to see is the 3 headed naga / dragon protecting the stairs to the temple. The name of the temple is a bit weird as 20 km away in the mountains is the village Ban Sakat. But as many times in Thailand a name change could be part of this confusing name. Under at the stairs leading to this temple is a replica of what is supposed to be a city wall. Although I have my doubts that there ever have been a Pua city wall and that location of this replica is even more weird. Have a look and you will understand.
