We just stayed for 1 night at Sangthong Resort in Chiang Klang in Nan province, North Thailand. It is located in between the rice fields and even for Nan province in the middle of nowhere. But for us it is not far and they have a good restaurant serving good Thai & Western food. So after a wonderful dinner with friends we did stay here instead of driving back home. Now there are about 40 rooms and they are all a bit different in style and location. The resort is a bit build like a theme park, so perfect for Thai people making selfies. The resort & restaurant are popular in the area to make a marriage or anniversary parties. We had a Deluxe Corner room with private balcony. The room was perfect with stunning view over the rice fields and the mountains of Doi Phu Kha. Breakfast (set) was served at the restaurant. The breakfast was a bit simple but OK. All together a great place to stay if you want to stay in that area (example going to or coming from Luang Prabang in Laos).
