Travel Tips about Sri Nan National Park in Nan province

Sri Nan National Park is overlooking the valley of the Nan River and is home to the famous Doi Samer Dao and Phu Chu (Lovers Cliff). Sri Nan National Park is about 80 km south-east of Nan town, bordering Uttaradit province. And about 16 km east of Na Noi. In the cool season from November to January Sri Nan National Park is a popular destination for Thai tourists to watch sunrise over a sea of clouds. Doi Sammer Dao at Sri Nan National Park

Doi Samer Dao at Sri Nan National Park

Doi Samer Dao is about 2 km from the HQ of Sri Nan National Park. This mountain top is famous because from here you have a 360 degrees view around and there are no cities with lights nearby. So on a clear day you will have a stunning view of the skies & stars. At Doi Samer Dao is a camping ground (tent costs 350 THB with 2 thin mattresses, 2 blankets and 2 pillows), there are good clean toilets and within walking distance is a simple restaurant.

Entrance fee : At Doi Samer Dao you will have to pay entrance fee of 20 THB per Thai person and 100 THB per non-Thai person. And 20 THB for your car or motorbike.

Phu Chu at Sri Nan National Park

Phu Chu is at the HQ of Sri Nan National Park and it takes you a 1 hour of hiking to get to the cliff.

How to get Sri Nan National Park?

Best with your own or hired transport. From Nan follow route 101 to Wiang Sa and then route 1026 to Na Noi. From Na Noi follow route 1083 to the park and follow the signs.

By public transport take the bus to Wiang Sa and then change for the bus to Na Noi. From Na Noi arrange private transport to Sri Nan National Park.
