Travel Tips about Khun Sathan National Park in Nan province

Khun Sathan National Park was established in 1998. The highest peak is about 1.600m above sea-level and makes a great place to enjoy the view over the green jungle. Another point of intrest is Doi Mae Chok that is famous for its wild cherry flowers and also for the stunning sunrise view. There is a stunning waterfall, Khun Li Waterfall but it is not easy to get there as it takes a few hours hiking. At Khun Sathan National Park is a camping ground and there are a few cabin's (bungalows) for rent. Khun Sathan National Park is about 95 km south of Nan town, about 32 km west of Na Noi. How to get to Khun Sathan National Park?

By private car or motorbike just follow route 101 from Nan town in direction of Wiang Sa and Phrae. Half way to Phrae you will see signs for Khun Sathan National Park. Take a left and follow route 1216. Another route is from Wiang Sa go to Na Noi and from there to Khun Sathan National Park.

By public transport you could take the bus from Nan to Wiang Sa and then change for the bus to Na Noi. But there is no public transport to Khun Sathan National Park, so you will have to arrange private transport for the last part.
