Visiting the Wat Phra That Phanom in That Phanom along the Mekong River

In 2010 we arrived in That Phanom during a trip along the Mekong River in North-East Thailand. After a small walk along the Mekong River we walked via a small street with old Chinese shop houses to this beautiful Chedi. Very peaceful and beautiful paintings of the life of Buddha. Many Thai & Lao tourist come here for gaining merit (= good luck for the lottery). Following are more photos of the Wat Phra That Phanom.
