In 1998 we travelled from Singapore to Bangkok and made a stopover in Malacca and Malaysia. As I have a special interest in architectural design of buildings and houses I made a lot of photos from old Chinese shophouses. Unfortunately I did never come back to Malacca but I understand the government of Malacca at least did recognise that this old Chinese shophouses are a part of the heritage of Malacca and they are preserved for the future generations to see how people lived in the old days.
