I was planning a trip to Cambodia and the first step is booking a flight from Bangkok to Phnom Penh. But as another airline stopped flying directly between Phnom Penh and Bangkok I had to look for a new airline. And I always thought Bangkok Airways was expensive, but on this route at this time they were the cheapest. My last flight with Bangkok Airways dates about 15 years ago when flying to Koh Samui in a ATR-72. But flying to Phnom Penh is done with a Airbus 320.
The flight leaves from Suvarnabhumi Airport (where also their domestic flights are). It was a smooth and pleasant flight with a reasonable good meal serviced. On the way back I used the small lounge that they have at Phnom Penh Airport. Simple, small and not much place to sit but friendly service. Also their back office was quick & promptly when I submitted some questions by email. I like that! All together a pleasant experience and I will fly Bangkok Airways again next time. For more information see Bangkok Airways.
