Due to the low water-level at Kwan Phayao (due to lack of rain in 2016) it is not possible anymore to take the longtail boat to the island with the old temple. But the Thai can be very inventive and thought of a great solution. They did build a bamboo bridge! So now you can walk to the island. And the nice thing is that the bridge and island are lighted at night. That looks beautiful and now you can visit the island temple also in the evening (much cooler).
