Although the mornings are still cool, the cool season is ending. That means hot afternoons and what better to do as cooling down along or in a river. This is a typically way of enjoying the hot season in North Thailand, go to a river for a swim or picknick. This is Thailand, so of course there are some people who will make it easy for you and they setup bamboo sala's, restaurant and coffee shop along a river. Some even setup a camping so you can stay overnight. In Pua that river is of course the Pua River that originates in the mountains of Doi Phu Kha National Park. And where the Pua River flows thru a small green valley of the mountains are 3 such of a lovely places to enjoy outdoor life, cooling down in the Pua River, have a drink & bite and just relax. Following a dirt road from the village Ban Na Fang at the north side of Pua you will see Hat Nam Pua, Wang Nam Pua Ban Nafang and Toob Nam Pua Beach & Camping.
All 3 are wonderful places to relax in the afternoon along the Pua River. But you will need your own transport to get there. Be aware that during the raining season the places are probably closed and the dirt road might be muddy and slippery. From the village Ban Na Fang are signs, but all in Thai. Come and enjoy the slow life of Pua and stay a few days at
Non Na Pua Homestay.
