In 2018 I was staying at the Weekender Resort at Lamai beach on the tropical island of Koh Samui in South Thailand. The hotel is located right along the beach and has a lovely swimming pool and beachside restaurant for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We were staying in the standard rooms with TV, Air-conditioning, Bathroom with bathtub, fridge and small private balcony. But they have also small bungalows with a small private pool. Breakfast was good, staff was friendly and service minded. I loved my early sunrise breakfast right along the beach. Wonderful hotel and beautiful beach, but the hotel is not cheap. As is actually all Koh Samui. As of the location of Lamai beach .... the beach is great but the main street has become a tourist jungle of restaurants, 7-11's, massage saloons, souvenir shops and Money Exchange Boots. The area of Lamai is not my cup of tea, but in the hotel you do not notice anything of that. For more information see Weekender Resort, Koh Samui - Thailand.
