Buddha's in Chiang Rai

Traveling in North Thailand

While I had some time I did walk around in a area of Chiang Rai downtown that most tourists not see, the area of the morning market. Near there is also the Wat Phra Keauw and on the grounds of this temple is also the Hong Luang Saeng Keaw Museum full with old Buddha images. The museum itself is already beautifully build of teak wood. So I spend some time here admiring the beautiful art of making Buddha images. Following are some photos I took. It is actually weird as Chiang Rai is visited by many tourists, but I think 95% of them will never visit this museum or even the temple where the museum is. If you are interested to visit Chiang Rai or any other place in Northeast or North Thailand, please contact me by email at The Little Elephant Traveling in Thailand.
