In 2008 I did travel to Vang Vieng in Laos and although I did make some postings about Vang Vieng I did actually not posted many photos of the beauty of the lime-stone mountains of Vang Vieng. We hired a car with driver to bring us from Vientiane to Luang Prabang with a 1 night stop-over in Vang Vieng. Vang Vieng is a small village along the Song River where the main road is actually a runway strip. This little village became famous for its beautiful landscape of lime-stone mountains and tubing over the Song River. It soon became a destination for backpackers to drink and eat happy pizza. Luckily if you stay just outside of town you do not notice anything of that. We stayed at Villa Nam Song. The village might have changed a bit or maybe a lot but I have not been there anymore since 2008. Following are more photos of Vang Vieng.
