This week I was in Nan town and did visit Nan National Museum, for me it was the first time since the renovation was completely finished and that the exhibition was again fully showed. I must say I love the old building, it all looks very nice. As of museum it would have been nice if there was a direction (map) of visiting the museum. A bit like a time line. And it would have been nice if there would be better text & explanation of all items showed. For more photos & information see my other postings about Nan National Museum. Following are some photos I took and unfortunately many items are showed behind glass. That itself is not such a bad thing but the glass is reflecting the light coming from everywhere, so photos are a not so good. So better lightning in the museum would also be nice. Most Buddha images in the photo are of Lanna style, Sukhothai style, Nan style or a mix of that all (especially with the Nan style). It is specially worth to look to the face expression, the form of the head and the ears.

Location : At the intersection where are also Wat Phumin and Wat Phrathat Chae Kham
Opening hours : Wednesday to Sunday from 9:00 - 16:00
Entrance fee : 20 ฿ for Thai and 100 ฿ for foreigners (but not always enforced)
