In Februari 2022 we were at Nan Nakhon Airport and I made some photos to update the current situation at the airport. First of all 2 years ago they started with planting trees in front of the terminal building and that looks beautiful. It really looks like a boutique airport!
The terminal hall for arriving & departure has been reorganised a little bit. The check-in luggage x-ray scanners are removed, so the hall is now again one open space. I like that and we may assume that the scanning of the check-in luggage is now done after check-in. Of course when at the departure gate there is still the x-ray machine to scan hand luggage.
The counters of the taxi and car-rental are moved into the coffee shop, so they are not in the way of people getting out of the arrival gate. Well done!
From 8:50 in the morning until 18:30 begin evening there goes a Songtheauw to Nan town for 30 baht per person. You can also take a taxi-meter but they ride for fixed prices at 100 baht to Nan town, Tha Wang Pha at 500 baht, Pua at 700 baht and Tung Chang for 900 baht. Actually a good price in regards to the distance & time.
