Travel Tips about Khao Tao in Hua Hin

Khao Tao is a village along the coast of South Thailand and within Hua Hin district. But about 15km south of Hua Hin city. And I am pleasantly surprised that at so close range of the hectic of modern beach-life of Hua Hin there still is this lovely small, almost traditional style, village right along a beautiful beach.

Khao Tao Beach is a width beach without anything, just an empty beach. But of course there are a few hotels and restaurants, but not really on the beach. It is a very nice beach and clean water although still not the White Sand & Crystal Clear Sea kind of beach. 

Along the beach is the village Khao Tao and of course the temple Wat Tham Khao Tao. The latter is build in/on the mountain Khao Tao, with a said walking trail to the next beach (actually they are building a walking path right along the sea). The village is between the sea and a water reservoir called .. Khao Tao Reservoir. At the village side there is a nice kind of boulevard where you can sit and also eat. On the other side are a few restaurants, pubs and coffee shops.
