At Hua Lamphong Railway Station in Bangkok

Platform 11 at Hua Lamphong Railway Station in Bangkok

In July 2024 I took a commuter train from Pattaya to Bangkok and arrived at Hua Lamphong Railway Station. Nostalgic feelings as this was where you would depart & arrive for the night train to Chiang Mai or anywhere in Thailand. The last time I did arrive or depart here must have been around 2010. Although the station is not in use anymore for night trains, you can still take some commuter trains here. And a part of the station is turned into a kind of museum with trains.

I love traveling by train, especially in Thailand where it is like traveling in time. It is like an open-air museum. Not only the trains itself but especially the train stations. They look like they have not changed since they build the first railroad lines in Thailand in 1889. I made a serie of train stations under the tag TRAIN STATIONS. Let's visit them before they will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.
