In 2017 I was traveling from Loei to Nan and passed the area of Bo Bia Border Market, located in the district of Ban Khok in Uttradit province. Every Sunday there is an very early morning market where Lao people come to buy things from Thai people. The market is located in a kind of no-mans-land between Laos and Thailand where both claim it is their territory. This twist goes back to time that the French were occupying Laos and Thailand granted them some land to make them stop going further into Thailand. So there is even an all village in no-mans-land but as foreigner I have no access to that (yet).
