While on the motorbike I followed a sign for the Queen Sirikit Lake and this is where I did end. This was after a few km's riding (and still a few km's to go) into what should have been "Queen Sirikit lake", a water-reservoir build in 1968-1974 for irrigation. As you can see the lake might need some water! I was here again a few years later and it did look the same. I assume that the water-level has never been high enough to get to here.
