Last week (2014) we were in Udon Thani and friends invited us for ice skating. Yes, there is a ice skating arena at "Central Plaza" at the 5th (top) floor! It is called "The Rink" and costs 250 Thai baht per 2 hour but many times there is a promotion that it costs 250 Thai baht for the all day. The price includes ice-skates. But not socks (50 Thai baht) or a helping penguin (100 Thai baht). There are also coaches to help you (or your children) to learn ice skating. I did grow up in a country where ice-skating in the winter was normal for kids & adults, so it was for me very funny to see Thai kids & adults ice-skating like in a cold winter in my home country.
