We were a few days in Pattaya and although Pattaya is crowded, very crowded (an almost 24hr traffic jam in all Pattaya city) there are still a few small and very relaxed beaches at the southern side of Phra Tamnak Hill (between Pattaya and Jomtien). And there are a few beach-side hotels. Out of the crowd, out of sin-city. But you will need transport to get there or to get out of there. Great place to sit and relax.
