Thailand's cutest rail-road crossing station in Ban Pin

Rail-road crossing station in Ban Pin, North Thailand

In 2016 I was in Ban Pin and made some photos of this lovely rail-road crossing.OK it is not a train station, although it looks like a mini train station. In Thailand at most officiall rail road crossing is someone to operate the barriers when a train is coming. And sometimes they really make something nice of it. Like here at this cute rail-road crossing near Phrae. I love train stations in Thailand and everything with it. If you like old Thai train stations then hurry up and visit them all as modernisation is destroying beautiful history! This rail-road crossing is at Ban Pin (between Den Chai and Lampang), along the Northern line Bangkok to Chiang Mai.

I love traveling by train, especially in Thailand where it is like traveling in time. It is like an open-air museum. Not only the trains itself but especially the train stations. They look like they have not changed since they build the first railroad lines in Thailand in 1889. I made a serie of train stations under the tag TRAIN STATIONS. Let's visit them before they will be lost in time, like tears in the rain.

This travelogue follows my traveling in Thailand (and beyond) with in between information that might help you when traveling in Thailand. If you are interested to visit Thailand and need some information or help then feel free to contact me by email at The Little Elephant Traveling in Thailand.
