The Queen Sirikit Lake is created in the Nan River on the border of Nan province and Uttaradit province and is famous for its house-boats. We did stay 1 night at a very simple house-boat and the next day we made a small boat trip over the Queen Sirikit Lake, starting at our small home-stay house boat. There are still people living here on the lake in house boats and there even is a temple on a house boat. For more information about Nan province have a look at Destination Travel Guide Nan.
