Motorbike trip 2017. I love to ride in the early morning, so I left home at a bit after 6:00am. It was still very foggy and a bit clouded. I did ride from Tha Wang Pha via a short-cut to Pua, from there to Chiang Klang and then to the Hmong hill-tribe village Manipruek high in the mountains of Doi Phu Kha. A lovely ride with some small detours. The road into the mountains is for 50% good and the rest is potholed a lot and there have been a lot landslides. The latter created some mud pools on the road at serval places. As result of the rain lately the road to the old Hmong shrine is now transformed into one big mud pool where even a 4WD car would have problems. So I skipped that. Following are some photos of my half day trip of about 200km total. For more motorbike trip reports see Motorbike Trip Reports.
