We did stay one night in one of the bungalows. It is all about location, location and location. And well Song Mueng Camping has the best location in Ban Sapan, located on the slopes of the mountains of Doi Phu Kha while overlooking a valley and the small village of Ban Sapan. With good sky an stunning sunrise view over the mountains that border Laos. This place with 3 bungalows (shared toilet) and 2 fixed tents (shared toilets) and camping ground (tents for rent) opened in 2015 and is managed by a super friendly local lady. But this is a camping, not a hotel or resort. Although they do not have a real restaurant they serve a simple but good breakfast and will go all the way to serve food for lunch or dinner. Only way to book Song Mueang Camping is to call them or just show up. Be aware that although Ban Sapan is only 90 km north of Nan town there is no public transport that is going straight to Bo Klua.
