In 2021 we did escape smoggy Nan province and did go to Hat Chao Lao beach in Chanthaburi province, along the Eastern Seaboard. We did stay at 2 different resorts, the second was Ing Talay 59 Resort. As we were traveling with our dog finding a pet friendly hotel was a bit difficult. Ing Talay Resort is in a straight line less as 100m from the beach of Hat Chao Lao. Ing Talay 59 Resort has about 28 rooms in a green garden and most are small separated bungalows. All rooms have private balcony, private bathroom with toilet and shower. And all rooms have a TV, fridge and Air-conditioning. Ing Talay 59 Resort has a swimming pool and even 2 family rooms that share another small swimming pool. Ing Talay 59 Resort provides private parking and shared hot water cooker for coffee but they do not serve any food.
We did stay for about 10 days and did get a special discount price. The room feels like brand new, well taken care and our room was daily cleaned. But the rooms & bathroom are a bit small and the bed is a bit hard. But the staff is friendly and service minded. Although the resort is less as 100m from the beach it takes about 300m walking to get to the beach. The nearest 7-11 is about 700m from the resort, nearest restaurants are 300m from the resort.
Update 2022 : Also in March 2022 we did again escape the burning season of North Thailand and we did stay again at Ing Talay 59 Resort. All was still the same, rooms still did feel like new. And even all air-conditionings were replaced by new ones. Bear in mind that not all rooms are really the same. The blue bungalows have a little bit bigger bathroom. Prices did not change since last year.
