During the covid19 crisis life goes on in Nan province while the rest of Thailand is thinking of reopening in some kind of sandbox model. Not based on facts but based on the feeling that "this" can not go on like this. While in reality Thailand still has a daily new count of between 15.000 and 20.000 covid19 cases. And a daily new count of 250 to 300 deaths that are covid19 related. So although we try to enjoy life we also are careful in contacts with other people. That means we still always wear a face-mask when outside, we do hardly meet other people and if we do we stay at a social distance. We do not go place were are a lot of people. And our homestay is still closed. And vaccination in Thailand is still going like a turtle. My personal feeling is that normal traveling is still a very long time away. Maybe in 2022?
The raining season is still giving us daily rain & clouds. And sometimes thunders & lighting, the last is not appreciated by our dog. Although it is still raining, there is for the farmers here actually not enough rain. But the sights are very beautiful with clouds, fog and sometimes rain. Photo above was taken from Nan Hospital and overlooking Nan town. I think with 5 floors it is the highest building of Nan town. Photo below was taken at
Kiw Muang 360 degrees where you can have a drink & eat. Be aware that the last 100m of the road is very steep. If you like some help with organizing your holiday anywhere in Thailand send me an email at
