The famous Pua to Bo Klua Loop in North Thailand

I love the early mornings in the mountains, especially at the almost end of the raining season. So in the early morning I made a trip from Non Na Pua Boutique Homestay into the mountains of Doi Phu Kha in North Thailand to make the famous Pua-Bo Klua-Pua Loop. From Pua this loop starts with route 1256 to Bo Klua where you driving on the edge of mountains and passing a height of 1.715 above sea-level. Then from Bo Klua thru the valley of Bo Klua to route 1081 that almost floats in the sky. 

Photo above is my favourite spot in the valley of Bo Klua, with rice fields along the Marn River. Besides the Pua-Bo Klua Loop I made a short side trip to Ban Sapan along the Wa River, where expanding domestic tourism is slowly changing the sleepy village into a new Pai. Snake Curve in route 1081

Photo above is at the famous Snake Curve in route 1081 between Bo Klua and Santisuk. To my surprise I was all alone, well until a mini-van arrived with 10 noisy tourists. So I continued over route 1081 to the famous #3 in Route 1081. And this was truly amazing! Parking was full with cars, mini-van's and motorbikes. And of course many people walking on the street to make selfies!

The first photo is a painting of the famous kissing Nan people (that escaped the Wat Phumin), the second photo is the stunning view over the mountains of Doi Phu Kha. This my favourite place to stop, family run and friendly service. And it is actually not only a Coffee Shop but also a restaurant serving Thai food. And it is also an accommodation place. I had a delicious Khao Phad Pak here. Highly recommended! For location see Google Maps.
