A pitstop at Phu Langkha in North Thailand

View of Phu Langkha in North Thailand

In December 2022 I made a tour of duty in North Thailand and on the way back taking route 1148 we made a pitstop at the mountain ridge of Phu Langkha. About 10 years ago this was an already famous off the beaten track place for Thai backpackers to watch sunrise over the mountains and clouds. But in those days there was only 1 place that would accommodate backpackers and would have something to eat or drink. Well that all has changed dramatically in the past 3 years and now there are at least 10 accommodations and 8 coffee shops / restaurants. And a wild guess would be that there are at least 30 rooms and space for another 30 tents. Thai tourists come now with their SUV car and make selfies.

This travelogue follows my traveling in Thailand (and beyond) with in between information that might help you when traveling in Thailand. If you are interested to visit Phu Langkha or any other place in Thailand and need some information then feel free to contact me by email at The Little Elephant Traveling in Thailand.
