Pakamkin Restaurant in Nan, North Thailand

Begin Februray 2023 with a group of friends we had lunch at Pakamkin Restaurant, located along the Nan River about 10 km north of Nan town and in between a 550 rai rubber plantation. It is not only a restaurant but also a eco luxury hotel with 9 bungalows and it is also a kind of park. The restaurant claims to have their own organic garden and is build with a stunning view and offering both indoor & outdoor seating. What will be great in the raining season and in the hot season.

As the location is a bit in the middle of nowhere it is a bit difficult to find but at the last 5 km there are signs. From Nan town it is best to follow route 1169 to Santisuk. At the Muang Chang Tai you should take the bridge crossing the the Nan river and at the T-intersection go to the right and follow the signs. You will be entering the 550 rai rubber plantation, follow the signs for parking. Park your car at the parking and the last 500m you will be transferred by electric golf-car.

Our lunch was delicious with thin crusty pizza, spaghetti and 2 Thai dishes followed by a dessert of coconut ice-cream with coconut cream. I am a dessert lover and it was delicious (it tasted like home made). We all had a refined drink like Americano with coconut or a drink of Thai herbs. We all liked it and I am sure we will be back. Highly recommended! But you will need your own transport to get there.
