When it is hot and very hot then the Pua River is a great place to cool down. So last week we did go to Wang Nam Pua, at the foot of the mountains of Doi Phu Kha. Where the Pua River comes from the mountains some people made a place to relax, eat and drink. A kind of beach. Actually you can also stay overnight here (very basic). Be aware that the road leading to this location is a dirt road along the mountains.
