Are you in Bangkok and want go to Pattaya? Lets take the train. In August 2023 I took the train from Lat Krabang to Pattaya and made some photos of this somewhat ugly train station. I love traveling by train, especially in Thailand where it is like traveling in time. It is like an open-air museum. Not only the trains itself but also the train stations. They look like they have not changed since they build the first railroad lines in Thailand in 1889. Although this station looks modern. It is located just a few km from Suvarnabhumi Airport and it is the eastern line still coming from the old station
Hua Lamphong (they somehow did forget to connect this to the new station Krungthep Aphiwat Central Station). This train station is along a line that goes Ban Plu Ta Luang (Satthahip and passes Chachonsao, Chonburi, Bang Sean and Pattaya) but you can also take here the train to Aryanphrathet (border with Cambodia).
No nice train station building, on platform 2 is an container and that is the ticket selling office. Right next to (and above) is Lat Krabang Station from the Airport Link. Building this might have destroyed the original train station building.
