Travel Tips about Ao Manao in Prachuap Khiri Kan

Ao Manao Beach in South Thailand

Ao Manao is a bay with of course a beach. And actually a very nice beach. The all bay, beach and the land behind it is under control of the Thai Airforce. Ao Manao is located directly south of Prachuap Khiri Khan city (what by itself is also a nice place to visit). To enter Ao Manao you will have to pass a army check-point where ID is requested. No entrance fee. Motorbike riders need to have & use a helmet.

Ao Manao is a width beach with sundeck chairs (not free) and small restaurants along the beach road. Food & drinks are served on the beach. And there are toilets, changing rooms and showers along the beach road. All of course in Thai style. Nice beach and clean water although still not the White Sand & Crystal Clear Sea kind of beach. But we loved it and enjoyed a lunch on the beach.

Accommodation at Ao Manao Beach :
Accommodation at Klong Wan Beach (directly south of Ao Manao Beach) :
Accommodation at Prachuap Beach (Prachuap Khiri Khan town directly north of Ao Manao Beach). There are hotels but not at beach and all are typically Thai style.
