Travel Tips about Tourist Information in Nan town

1. Tourist Authority of Thailand (TAT) in Nan town

Finally Nan province has been recognised by the Tourist Authority of Thailand (TAT) as a worthy tourist destination in Thailand and Nan town has its own TAT office opposite the Nan Jail (near the Wat Phumin). The TAT Nan is housed in a traditional wooden house, that has been beautiful renovated. Although it is currently (Jan 2019) open do not hold your breath for English speaking information. The TAT Nan is located 300m from the Wat Phumin, see TAT Nan on Google Maps. The TAT Nan is open from 9:00 to 17:00.

2. Tourist Information Center in Nan town

Although the Tourist Information Center is located not far from Nan's most visited place the Wat Phumin it is still a bit difficult to find as it is located all the way at the back of a kind of square with small shops and trees. The Tourist Information Center is a small shop, just before the entrance to the toilets. The minor problem for non-Thai tourists is that they are not really prepared for non-Thai speaking / reading tourists. About next to it is another small shop with a representative & information of all National Parks in Nan province. The Tourist Information Center is located opposite the Wat Phumin in Nan town, see Location on Google Maps. And it is open from 8:30 to 17:00.
