Until a few years ago Ban Kew Muang (also written as Ban Kiw Muang or Ban Kiu Muang) in Santisuk district was just a little mountain village along route 1169 from Nan town to Santisuk. Until someone openend a coffee shop and later of course more people openend a coffee shop and also a homestays. And now the little village is a still growing tourist destination. Ban Kew Muang is about 24 km north-east of Nan town.

• By public transport you can take the Blue Songtheauw truck from Nan bus station to Santisuk and get out at Ban Kew Muang. 
• By private car or motorbike exit Nan town via route 1169 and keep on following that route until you are at Ban Kew Muang. This route continues to Santisuk and Pua or Bo Klua.

As most place in Ban Kew Muang are a combination of Coffee Shop, Restaurant and Homestay or Camping I will list them here all together. Most of the places are in or at the outskirt of the village Ban Kew Muang but some are just a little bit before or after the village.
